MG Day 2025

Saturday, 12 April 2025 to Sunday, 13 April 2025
8:00am - 2:00pm

Brisbane Motor Museum

"MG Day 2025" at the Brisbane Motor Museum is on Saturday 12th April

Organised by Tony Slattery permitted by the GCMGCC

On display will be a (brand New) replica of "MG Old Number One" along with a selection of Pre-War MG's. There will be two Talks/Presentations on "Old Number One" and the 1925 "Land's End Trial" which was conducted 100 years ago on the 10th & 11th April.

The 12th April is also Cecil Kimber's birthday, so we are following our MG M-Type Group tradition to celebrate this day.

We will be able to take over the underground carpark at the museum for our MGs, but we have to move them in there on Friday afternoon, or VERY EARLY on Saturday morning (space is limited). The museum is located at 959 Nudgee Road, Banyo, QLD, 4014.

On Sunday 13th April, we are returning to Woody Point in Redcliffe, to take another few laps around the course of the 1936 Reliability Trial, followed by lunch at a nearby hotel with a lovely view over Bramble Bay. We may also organise a dinner on the Saturday night for those who are coming for the weekend. We are also organising a MG Convoy/Drive for the Museum to Woody Point following the "Old Number One" replica.

What we need to know NOW is numbers of GCMG members interested in this weekend. Please send John Careless an email ASAP, and let him know if you are interested in the planned weekend and what MG you can bring. There are group discounts for admission to the museum, so they are hopeful we can get the numbers to secure that at least. The museum has a lovely café to look after our catering on Saturday for lunch and Tea/Coffee.
